Great for Camping!  This moisturizing lotion bar has an effective blend of 5 essential oils that bugs cannot bare to be around - smells great to us though! We use essential oils of citronella, tea tree, Lemongrass, Eucalyptus and Vitamin E all known to repel a wide range of insects.

Ingredients used and their benefits:

 

Coconut oil: used for lathering and moisturizing.

 

Lavender Butter: is renowned for its calming scent and numerous beneficial skin properties. This butter blend has an amazing scent and a creamy luxurious color and texture.

 

Neem oil: has been reputed for its cleansing properties. It is known to be rich in fatty acids and glycerides and provides an excellent natural moisturizing base for skin care formulation. This oil has been used for centuries in traditional Indian Medicine to aid in improving topical skin conditions.

 

Beeswax: A perfect combination of oils, shea butter, and beeswax forms a solid soap-like bar that is used on dry skin. It helps soothe skin, locks in moisture.

 

Vitamin E: is a natural preservative plays a crucial role in protecting skin cells and membranes from environmental damage. This protection extends to stopping damage to the skin from UV rays, pollutants, and aging.

 

These are the essential oils used:

 

Citronella: controls muscle spasms, increase appetite, and increase urine production (as a diuretic) to relieve fluid retention. Some people apply citronella oil directly to the skin to keep mosquitoes and other insects away.

 

Eucalyptus: can help you breathe easier, reduce pain and has a fresh, clean and slightly woodsy aroma.

 

Tea Tree: is ideal for treating bacterial and fungal skin conditions, which prevents infection and promotes healing.

 

Lemongrass: shares similar properties with citronella. and it has antibacterial and antifungal effects too.

Simply rub the bar over your skin anytime you are going to be outside and reapply as needed. The essential oils will keep mosquitoes away and the oils will moisturize your skin.
