The base we use here is Calendula infused oil, it has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that make it useful in healing wounds and soothing eczema. Bringing soothing relief to pain and swelling while lending antimicrobial properties to the body's healing effort.
The essential oils are great for skin irritations, anxiety, cut & burns, also the Lavender oil gives a calming effect on the body and mind.
These are the essential oils used and their benefits.
Lavender: It is good for many common dog ailments and problems, e.g. ear infections, skin irritations, anxiety, insect bites, cuts and burns, motion sickness and Lavender is very calming.
Geranium: It is a strong antifungal oil and is good for skin irritations (especially caused by yeast infections), as well as fungal ear infections in dogs.
Calendula Base oil: Calendula oil has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties that make it useful in healing wounds, and soothing eczema. Calendula will bring quick, soothing relief to pain and swelling while lending antimicrobial properties to the body's healing effort.
Apply a couple of drops of oil to the cracked paws or other parts of the skin that have cuts or burns. Apply as needed, just work the oil into the paw area and between the toes, or if you are using this blend for other skin issues like cuts or burns, do the same, gently apply to the affected area.
When you have tried all natural ointments or oils and nothing seems to work take your dog to the veterinarian for an evaluation, which will involve a physical exam and possibly X-rays.
Do not use lavender essential oil if your dog is pregnant or nursing.
