Consistency: A viscous, pale golden liquid.

Note / Strength of Aroma: A base note with a medium aroma. Patchouli has an earthy aroma with light fruity notes.

Blends well with Sandalwood, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Rose, Orange, Cassia, and Myrrh

Quantity

Light patchouli essential oil is lighter than the dark variety, clearer in color, and, in my opinion, fades more quickly.

Patchouli essential oil has a satisfying, earthy quality. It is helpful to energetically “ground” a person. A very rich, long-lasting oil. The scent of Patchouli oil will linger longer than most other essential oils. Use sparingly.

Bath

To relieve emotional anxiety, take a bath with 2 drops of Patchouli, and 4 drops of Neroli essential oils.

Cosmetics

When used in face creams it slows the look of aging by tightening and toning the skin, thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles and blemishes.

Diffuser

When diffused at night, it can encourage restful sleep, which can, in turn, improve mood, cognitive function, and metabolism.

Diffusing 5-6 drops of this anti-inflammatory oil can also reduce fevers and colds by eliminating infectious bacteria.

When diffused during spiritual practices, it can be used on its own or in blends during prayer and meditation to enhance concentration and to feel a stronger mystical connection.
